As Director of Media and Marketing for OceanGate, Joel Perry is responsible for all corporate communications, media relations and marketing programs for OceanGate. In this role, Joel develops expedition programs, manages strategic partner relations, and directs client outreach efforts.
Before joining OceanGate in 2010, Joel spent 10 years in the marine equipment industry, and 10 years as Vice President of Marketing for American West Steamboat Company where he led marketing, product development and public relations efforts for the small ship cruise line, including the launch of the Empress of the North, a sternwheeler with cruises in Alaska and along the Columbia and Snake River.
Joel has also co-founded two software start up companies in the healthcare informatics and video game industries. Joel received a BS in graphic design from Western Washington University and an MBA from the University of Washington Foster School of Business.
